Progressive Rehabilitation™

Progressive Rehab™ is taking chiropractic care into the world of high technology when it comes to pain relief and stabilization. It combines the most modern, fastest acting chiropractic techniques with cutting edge progressive rehabilitation technology.

Manual Therapy

Manual Therapy : Application of specifically directed manual force to the body, in order to improve mobility in areas that are restricted; in joints, in connective tissues or in skeletal muscles. Enhances joint and muscle function and promote the healing process, including Myofascial release, allowing the connective tissue fibers to reorganize themselves in a more flexible, functional fashion.

Massage Therapy : Massage involves acting and manipulating the patient's body with pressure (structured, unstructured, stationary, and/or moving), tension, motion, or vibration done manually or with mechanical aids. Target tissues may include muscles, tendons, ligaments, skin, joints, or other connective tissue, as well as lymphatic vessels, and/or organs of the gastrointestinal system. Massage can be applied with the hands, fingers, elbows, forearms, and feet. There are over eighty different massage modalities.

Therapeutic Exercise

Exercising: Therapeutic exercise is a set of repetitive stretching, strengthening, or endurance maneuvers designed to develop weakened or injured muscle groups that support the spine. Specific exercises help rehabilitate the spine. The individual bones of the spine are held in place by muscles and ligaments Proper motion and position of these bones are crucial for proper nervous system function, correct posture, and good health. Exercises and repeated maneuvers help re-pattern and condition these connective tissues.

Inter Segmental Traction

Traction: Inter-segmental traction is a way of inducing passive motion into the spine for the purpose of stretching spinal joints and increasing mobility. Discs of the spine have a poor blood supply, and therefore must get nutrients from the circulation of fluids surrounding the spinal joints. Fixations prevent this natural circulation and can lead to disc thinning degeneration. Inter-segmental traction helps increase and restore necessary elasticity and motion to the spine.

Diathermy

Diathermy : A form of electro-magnetic energy used to raise the temperature of certain soft tissue below the surface of the skin. Unlike a heat lamp, the Diathermy energy field passes through the softer tissues near the surface of the body, turning into heat when reaching the more dense tissues below the surface. This increases blood circulation and can help speed the healing process.

Interferential Electro-Therapy

E-Stim : A therapeutic treatment to aid in the relief of pain and promotion of soft tissue healing. Tiny amounts of electrical current impulses are induced into the tissues in the vicinity of the injury. Where these waves intersect below the surface of the skin, a low-frequency stimulation is created. This prompts the body to secrete endorphins and other natural pain killers to help relieve pain.
